Austin and the rest of the team worked hard to get us into our forever home! As first time homebuyers they made this process very easy for us! Thank you!
Absolutely horrible experience! Our loan officer completely failed to do any prior paperwork before closing. We had sent him all of our docs 3 weeks before closing and even had a pre-approval, and a extended 45 day closing. He called us 30 hours before closing and told us nothing had gotten done and he "dropped the ball" and we "slipped through the cracks". We had to beg the sellers for an extra 2 weeks to get the needed paperwork filed from our loan rep. He continuously failed us for the remaining 2 weeks with dodgy answers, not explaining why things were taking so long, and us having to do his job for him. For example we needed a VOE and he waited till 4 days into the extension to tell us this, it took us one phone call to get one that he could have easily done! Miraculously we were able to close one day before our contract was up, but no thanks to him!
Response from Veterans United
Hi Zachary,
Buying a home should be an exciting experience, and it's disappointing to hear yours ended with so much uncertainty right before closing. After preparing for weeks and believing everything was on track, I can understand how discouraging it would be to learn there were still outstanding items to complete.
It's also disappointing to hear you were left feeling like you had to chase down answers and navigate parts of the process on your own. Every borrower should feel supported, informed, and confident throughout their loan journey, and I'm sorry that wasn't your experience.
I'd appreciate the opportunity to review your loan and better understand what happened. If you're willing, you can reach me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
