Don has a BA in Music and a minor in philosophy from Missouri state and has 5 kids with his beautiful wife of 30 years, Kimber. When not working, Don loves leading worship at church, doting on his grand daughter, Liberty, watching the OKC Thunder, STL Cardinals and KC Chiefs play, and running after his crazy Husky named Jedi.

Don, Levi and Gretchen were very helpful and supportive
It took about 1 year to get a house due to some financial issues from COVID, but Veterans United made sure that all the legal and time-constraint issues were handled with professional precision. Shout out to Don and his team for making all this happen without us having to stress about anything.

We had our original lender fall through just a week before closing. We had previously gotten pre-approved through VU, so my realtor suggested reaching out to them again as a last-ditch effort. We worked with Don Smith's team, and they were outstanding! They even price-matched the previous lender's interest rate with no out-of-pocket costs to us. They were able to close our manufactured home in just 16 days! They were professional, easy to get a hold of, communicated well, and just fast overall. They took each new hurdle in stride and really fought for us. When it comes to Don's team, I would choose to work with them time and time again. Without them, we wouldn't have our house now.
The whole crew did a wonderful job walking me through the process, since it was my first time in a very long time. Don did a great job a advising and making sure that I understood what was going on each step of the way. Thanks to the whole crew!!
