The team that I worked with was amazing. They were friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. They kept me updated throughout the whole process. If I had any questions or concerns, they would answer those questions and put my mind at ease. Everything thing went so smoothly in the purchasing of my home. Thx Jacob, Trevor, and Nate.

You did not honor my 100 disability on taxed exemption. I would have never purchased this house if I knew I was gonna run into this problem.

Response from Veterans United

Hi Emmanuel,

Hearing that you feel your 100 percent disability tax exemption was not honored is incredibly concerning. I can understand how upsetting it would be to believe you were eligible for a benefit and then face an unexpected issue after purchasing your home. That kind of surprise can feel overwhelming, especially when it impacts your long term financial planning.

Property tax exemptions for disabled Veterans are typically handled at the state or county level after closing, and the requirements and timelines can vary depending on location. That said, you should have felt fully informed about how that process works and what to expect. If anything was unclear or miscommunicated, I want to understand why.

Please reach out to me directly at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com so I can review your situation in detail. We’re available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday, and we’ll respond the next business day to messages received after hours. I’d appreciate the opportunity to walk through this with you.

Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
