Response from Veterans United

Hey David,
I’m really sorry to hear about the issues you’ve run into with your home after closing. That’s understandably frustrating, especially when you expected those items to be checked before purchase.

The VA appraisal looks only at the property’s overall market value and basic livability—it’s not the same as a full home inspection. A separate inspection is the best way to identify things like broken appliances or countertop damage before closing. I know that doesn’t change what you’re dealing with now, but I want you to know how much I understand your disappointment.

If you’d like, I can have my team take a closer look at your file and talk through what happened during the process. You can reach us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. Our team is here Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time.

Our loan officer Samuel Sexauer and his team were great to work with. I can't say enough good things about them. It took less then a month from my offer being excepted to getting the keys in my hand. Great experience. Highly recommend.
