Never in my life have I been so shuffled from agent to agent, failures to return calls and constantly resending documents to different places. This made us feel as if we were getting nowhere and that we might not get the home as desired. We were on pins and needles up until the last day. Not a smooth transaction at all.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Roland,
I’m really sorry to hear how stressful this process was for you. Being passed from person to person, having to resend documents, and not getting timely call backs would make anyone feel unsettled, especially when so much is riding on the outcome. That’s not the experience we want for our borrowers, and I understand why you felt on edge right up until the end.
Your feedback matters, and I’d appreciate the chance to look into what happened behind the scenes and learn where we fell short. If you’re open to it, please reach out to our Client Advocate team so we can listen and better understand your experience. You can contact us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com.
Our office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday. If you reach out outside those hours, we typically respond the next business day.
Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
Veterans United worked with me for many years to help get my credit and finances ready for a home purchase. Once I was finally ready, the entire process was seamless.A dedicated group of individuals worked closely with me to set up the financing and insurance, and they worked tirelessly to overcome any obstacles that came up. They were always available to support my real estate agent, but most importantly, they were always available to me. There was never a moment when I felt lost or unsure—someone was always there to provide guidance and answer my questions. This is the fourth home I have purchased in my life, and this was by far the most honest, competent, and smooth process I have ever experienced. I was consistently treated with kindness and respect, which truly made the experience stress-free. I can’t recommend Veterans United highly enough.
Third time using them and it’s always an amazing experience! My family and I love Anne and her team!
Really went smooth. The folks assigned were fantastic and kept us up to date.
Was a pleasure working with them.
No, I would not recommend it to anyone. It was extremely stressful, too disorganized, poor communication, not enough information given, and very confusing to go through . I was recovering from a surgery and they made the stress from that even worse. I had a fainting episode and had to go to the hospital again during this period of waiting for everything to go through.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Jeremy,
I’m really sorry to hear how hard this experience was for you, especially while you were recovering from surgery. Going through a home loan is already a lot, and feeling confused or left without the information you needed can add stress you shouldn’t have had to carry. I can understand why this left such a difficult impression.
If you’re open to talking more about what happened, we’d really appreciate the chance to review your experience and see how we can support you better. You can reach us at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. We’re available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, and if you reach out after hours we’ll typically follow up the next business day.
Thank you for sharing what you went through. I’m here if you’d like to talk.
