I grew up Prairie Village, KS, a small suburb of Kansas City. I lived in the same house from the time I was 6 until my high school graduation. I attended Shawnee Mission East HS and Manhattan Christian College; my high school graduating class was bigger than my college's under graduate enrollment. My wife, Nicole, and I have been married for near 19 years. We have 8 awesome kids; Zion(19), Elijah (16), Eve(14), Jude(12), Asher(9), Luke(8), Eden (5), and Josiah (4). We adopted our 3 oldest children officially the summer of 2014 after a 2 year plus journey in the courts of Jackson County. We adopted Asher in fall of 2014 and adopted his biological brother Josiah in 2019. We also have 4 cats Loki, Orlando, Liberty, and Phoenix who kill a lot of critters. We live in Olathe, KS. We love serving God, going to church, dancing/singing, playing outside, watching the Chiefs, watching movies, football, basketball, soccer, and more soccer, eating, laughing, hiking, the beach, and making great memories. My wife is an incredible stay-at-home superhero.
I was blessed to have both my Uncle John and Uncle James who served in Vietnam. Also, my great grandfather served in the Great War (WWI). We still have 3 swords from his time of service. I am thankful to lead an awesome team to serve your needs. We are ready and excited to serve you and your family. We are blessed every day to provide for our families by serving those who are and have served us.

This was our second time working with Ben and both times he has been very professional and helpful throughout the process. Christina was also a pleasure to work with. Thanks a bunch to both of you and VU overall!

If you're a veteran wondering where to start your home-buying journey, I can't recommend Veterans United enough. Buying our first home came with unexpected challenges, but we never had to face them alone. No matter how many questions or phone calls we had, our team—Ben, Patrick, Missy, and Brett—guided us with incredible expertise, patience, and kindness. Their support was instrumental in helping us achieve our dream of homeownership. They also connected us with an outstanding local real estate agent who understood the VA loan process inside and out, making every step feel seamless. We never felt like just another loan—we felt genuinely cared for.Today we're settling into our first home, building a future filled with peace, joy, and community, while our pups are having the time of their lives in their new yard. Thank you, Veterans United, for helping turn our dream into reality. We are forever grateful.

I would like to especially thank Ben. Ben answered all my concerns and worked so hard at making all my numbers fit perfectly. I especially appreciate the balance Ben has in his life. Ben still took time to shut things down from work and set time aside for his family; family is everything. The effort Ben made to secure my loan felt the same effort he would have made as if I were his own brother. Veteran's United should give Ben a raise; to lose such an employee would be a great loss. Tyler's effort, response time, and assistance to resolve concerns was exemplary. I would like to thank Veteran's United for providing me a team with such professional brilliance.
