I started this process years ago and was immediately contacted. I was given advice and suggestions on getting approved. I followed the advice and worked hard to become financially responsible and stable. When I reached out again just to check my current position, I found out I was approved. I was anxious, nervous, and excited. The entire Veteran's Unit Team (Cole, Trenton, Gretchen, Gabby, and Nathan) helped to lessen my nervousness. Even when I doubted the process and was ready to give up, somehow, everyone pulled together and made me feel better and encouraged me to keep going because I would find my home.
