Forest was born and raised in Missouri and has lived in Columbia, MO most of his life. He lived in Jamestown, MO (population 388) until 8th grade and still carries his small town family values with him to this day. Growing up, Forest was raised to have a strong work ethic and to take pride in always getting the job done right. As a child, he was always looking for odd jobs to help neighbors and he got his first official job when he was 13. He continued to work throughout his education in junior high, high school and college (often more than full time) and received his degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri in 2011. After graduation, Forest moved to Denver for two years, where he began his career in the mortgage industry, working in executive customer relations. Forest enjoys snowboarding, skiing, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, grilling and pretty much anything else he can do outdoors. Although there isn't much opportunity to snowboard in Missouri; family and lifelong friends drew Forest back to Columbia, where he began working for Veterans United.
To Forest, the most rewarding part of his job is being able to give back to those who have given so much to protect our daily freedoms that we take so for granted. Receiving a picture of a family in front of their new home after closing, a thankful phone call from a veteran who didn't previously think homeownership was possible for them, or even a simple email letting him know the furniture fits perfectly in the new living room inspires Forest to continue to strive for efficiency and unparalleled customer service every day. Forest's goal is to educate as many veterans as possible about the VA benefit that they have earned and to make his clients' dream of home ownership come to fruition as quickly as possible while maintaining excellent customer service and a high level of integrity.
