I was born in Minneapolis, MN and after slowly moving all the way to the east coast and back in my first six years of life, my family settled in a small town in Iowa called Waverly. Iowa is a wonderful place to grow up. I attended both Wartburg College and The University of Northern Iowa where I received a BA in Business Management and a Minor in Economics. During college I worked in the restaurant industry and found it extremely rewarding serving people and making them happy. This has become my goal in life and I live every day knowing that I can help people with my knowledge and dedication. I have worked in a few industries over the years and have owned my own business. I grew up in a family business and they put me to work at the ripe old age of eight. That early work experience taught me many great things when it came to relating to people. My father taught me that every person you meet in life has something to teach you and you just need to know how to listen. I have used that in every aspect of my life since and it has been very rewarding.

I normally dont write reviews unless I had a very terrible experience with that person or company, but in this case, I MUST make an exception.....Jeff Ferguson and his team was totally outstanding. From the moment Jeff and I spoke on the phone his professionalism and his character was revealed. Jeff did not talk at me, he talked to me, and that was after he listened to me. He spoke to me as if he and I were neighbors who see each other everyday and have conversations. And even though I qualified for a home loan with Veterans United, Jeff still gave me good advise on continuing to raise my credit score.
Im the type of person who is detailed and 'hands on.' I ask a lot of questions. I want to be involved in 'everything.' I want to know 'everything.' And I want to know everything when I want to know it. Even though the information is not available 'at that time,' I still want to know it 'at that time.' Jeff was super patient and very understanding. Not one time did he make me feel as if I was frustrating him or bothering him.
And then after all of that, his knowledge and detailed explanation of the entire process and the documents was outstanding.
I have to also mention Cole who I also spoke with a lot, and his professionalism and customer service was also amazing.
I honestly cant speak about any of the other Loan Officers at Veterans United, but I can certainly speak about Jeff Ferguson and his team. And they are awesome.
My adviser who represented me was the greatest rep any veteran when it comes to the process of buying a home. He was the greatest.
I dont even know how to begin telling everyone how amazing Veterans United has been while buying my little farm house. There is a team of people in your corner throughout the entire process that I believe look out for your best interest. If I ever had a question or ever needed anything at all they would quickly respond and assist in whatever situation. So I gotta give a shout out to Cole, Bianca and the main man Jeffrey Ferguson! I was failed by a previous lender that allowed my application to expire by a company that claimed to support veterans. My experience did not support that claim. Their incompetence set me back over a month in what is already an extremely stressful situation.Rather than give them another opportunity to let me down, I turned to Veterans United; a company I had previous positive experience with.Ultimately, my loan officer (Jeffrey Ferguson) secured a lower interest rate than the previous lender and we closed in a matter of weeks. I never had to wait for information and my team was always available to me.I could not be more impressed with my refi experience with Veterans United.
