We were super happy with the team at Veterans United and how much help we got navigating our first home purchase. Feels great to be a Proud Veteran Homeowner!

The loan team was patience and the communication was awesome. Any time I had a question, they were responsive and quick.

I would recommend Veterans United to anyone trying to use the VA home loan. As a first Time homebuyer, I had nothing but smooth and incredible experience from all employees of Veterans United and the real estate company that worked alongside them were extremely professional, confident and consistent on the work.

Veterans United Home Loans are completely honest, and are here to help us Veterans. Buying a home or to refinance one .

Absolutely the worst experience. Everybody listed on the "MY-TEAM" portal feels like they are actively trying to avoid you. When trying to contact them, no matter the time of day, you'll never get through to someone; you'll have to leave a voicemail every time. communication sucks, and your account is handled by everyone in their office. You don't have a dedicated team, and they do not care about deadlines; you'll have to stay on top of them if you're concerned about deadlines. Furthermore, your account will be handled by so many people that you become just a number/ quota to the point they're confusing you with other people and lie about your first mortgage payment date. I will never use Veterans United again.

Response from Veterans United

Hi Jakob,
Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm truly sorry to hear how frustrating this process was for you. Feeling like you couldn't reach your team, having to repeatedly follow up, and receiving inconsistent information is not the experience I want anyone to have.

I understand how discouraging it would be to feel like you were being passed between different people instead of receiving clear, consistent support. Communication is an important part of the homebuying process, and I'm sorry we didn't provide the level of service you expected or deserved.

I'd appreciate the opportunity to learn more about what happened and review your experience with our team. If you're willing, please reach out to me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. The Client Advocate team is available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time. If you contact us outside those hours, we'll typically respond the next business day.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. It helps us identify where we need to do better, and I'd appreciate the chance to speak with you directly.

Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager
