John Parker
I grew up in the Chicago area, graduated college at the University of Iowa, lived in Monterey, CA for some time and then settled in Columbia, MO with my beautiful wife and 3 kids. I love spending time with my family and friends, following Univ. of Iowa and Chicago area sports, live music and working in my wood shop. My position at Veterans United Home Loans allows me to work with our nation's true heroes, our Veterans and Military Service members. My own family has a long history of military service from my father's 30 years in the Air National Guard, my great-uncle's tour in Korea to my mother tracing our family lineage of service in the Civil War and at least 3 members in the Revolutionary War. I am grateful to be working for a company that is dedicated to serving our Veterans and Military Service members in making one of the most important and special purchases of their lives. I pride myself on being able to bring my years of customer service experience to the VA Home Loan process. Thank you for the opportunity and honor to serve you.

This was my second time working with John and it was great!. There were a few hiccups but wasn’t anything on their side. The app was also updated from the last time I used it and made it easier to sign and upload documents.
From start to finish, VU and John and his team were absolutely great! We never felt like our questions were a burden and we always felt like people, not a transaction. I would HIGHLY recommend them and I would use VU again!
