Veterans United Employee Moya Brown

Moya Brown

Moya is a wife to a wonderful man named Mark since 2001, and a mother to 3 energetic, crazy fun little boys named Jacob, Alex and Lucas. She graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia and loves her Mizzou Tigers! Born in Kansas City, Missouri, Moya spent half of her childhood living in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, where she learned to love the desert, the warm climates and most of all, the experience of living overseas and exploring new cultures and diversity. Moya loves to camp (GLAMP! She loves her camper) and she’s crazy about playing and watching sports. She’s passionate about helping people and being a positive role model for her family and friends. Having battled cancer in 2014, she makes it a priority to be kind and thankful everyday she wakes up on the right side of the dirt. Prior to joining Veterans United Home Loans, Moya spent 20 years in the hospitality industry, most recently as a Regional Manager for a hotel management company. She loves to serve and clings very tightly to her hospitality roots! She’s excited about the opportunity to serve our veterans and active military members and families by helping them purchase the home of their dreams! Above all, both personally and professionally, Moya’s life goal is to be kind, treat people with dignity and respect and to live by her values every day, all day. THANK YOU to all of our military members, past and present, for your service and ultimate sacrifice.

Working with our loan officer, Moya, to secure our first home was smooth because Veterans United employees work tirelessly to lower barriers and make the home buying process fun! They set us up with a phenomenal real estate agent, Alissa, who gave us great advice and found a great home for us.

Veterans United dropped the ball big time and at the last minute they realized we needed a water well tested. veterans United knew from inception that we were building a home on well water but someone did not read my information and this delayed our closing by 8-10 days! Not happy with veterans United at all about this

Response from Veterans United

Hi Robert,

I'm sorry to hear how frustrating this experience was. I understand how disappointing it is to have your closing delayed, especially when you're expecting everything to come together at the finish line.

I reviewed your file, and I can see there were documents related to the well and the required testing that were still being finalized before closing. I understand that doesn't make the delay any less frustrating, and I'm sorry for the impact it had on your homebuying experience.

I'd appreciate the opportunity to learn more about what happened and discuss your concerns directly. If you're willing, please reach out to me at 1-800-212-5200 or ClientAdvocate@vu.com. The Client Advocate team is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time, and if you contact us outside those hours, we'll typically respond the next business day.

Sincerely,
Claire S., Client Relations Manager

Just a great experience from start to finish. The website and App keep you focused by producing "To-Do Items". Highly recommend!
