Rett Thompson
Rett grew up in the small town of Charleston, Missouri, where most of his family still lives today. Upon graduation from high school, Rett attended the University of Missouri – Columbia, better known as Mizzou, where he received his degree in Agribusiness Management. It was also during his time at Mizzou, that he met his wife! Together, they now have two amazing sons and have made Columbia, MO their home!
Rett is incredibly proud to be a part of the awesome team at Veterans United. He has a passion for helping military families achieve the dream of home ownership and he looks forward to welcoming you to the Veterans United family!
In his free time, Rett enjoys spending time with his friends and family. He is an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and loves all things Mizzou!

Veterans United has always been my go-to financial institution for my home buying needs. I have used Veterans United four times and without fail they deliver outstanding services. Even though there was tough competition with competitive rates my loyalty to Rett Thompson and his outstanding team kept me with Veterans United.
Rett and his team didn’t disappoint. I was nervous that the last time we used Rett and his team was a fluke, but this time went just as smooth as last time. Hopefully this is the last house we buy for a while, but I wouldn’t hesitate to use Rett again if we did buy again in the future.

I'm sure I put Mr. Thompson and his team in a bit of a difficult situation regarding my circumstances, and the sudden/last minute decision to buy a home probably threw plenty of curve balls and wrenches at the team, but they did a fantastic job facilitating my home buying process and making it all happen very quickly and with minimal difficulty on my end.
I contacted Veterans united a little over a year ago and asked what I would need to do to buy a home. Almost instantly they had a list of things for me to do and offered help at every step. The moment I completed my part they went into action with theirs and in less than 6 weeks I was moved into my new home. I could not be more thankful for my team at Veterans united.
Everyone I dealt with at VU treated me with respect and helped make the process so much less stressful than it might have been.
I truly can't thank the team enough for helping me get my first home! They made this experience so much easier and I was never scared to call and ask a stupid question- Because I did many times.
