I have been assisting families with the dream of home-ownership for 24 years. My career experience includes 4 years as a realtor and 20 years as a Mortgage Loan Specialist. My philosophy is to treat others how you would want to be treated. We consider ourselves a family here at Veterans United and would be honored to assist your family with your housing needs. With my experience and my passion, I will educate and guide you through the process of purchasing a home, as well as any mortgage needs you may have including refinancing.
I currently reside in Kansas City with my husband and our 4 children. We do our best to visit my hometown of Islip, NY every summer. We love visiting our family and we can never get enough beach time! I look forward to working with you and getting to know your family.

Simply amazing. I filled out the application at 12 and Suzanne called me at 12:01 (exaggeration but sort of true). She had helped me with my first home and I was glad she was handling my second home. She is just the best and I’m lucky to have her be my loan officer.
She answered our questions, advice us in advance on the process and the timeline to process everything.
Suzanne, I want to “Thank You & Your Team for all the “ Wonderful “ support all these years you have worked me. You are a very Kind & Caring person. I remembered when we first talked back in 2020. We hit it off so beautifully. It was like I had known you for years as a Good Friend & up to this present day, you still treat me like an old friend & not just a customer.
It was hard to in contact with her at times, she wouldn’t send over cost sheets in the beginning to my realtor, inconsistent pricing (we went from a 310k max to a $350k in MD), when getting priced for PA the pricing jumped all over per house & we were approved for 40k less (our realtor said she has never seen a gap like that), I had reached out to her several times asking questions and got delayed replies and a couple no replies at all. It did cost us one house, as we did not get an answer in time to proceed with viewing it before someone had put in an offer (busy market times). My process was a mess. She did get us a house & was very nice. I know she was very busy at the time we decided to do all of this but wish she would’ve allocated some of her work off to other personnel for a seamless experience for the both of us.
Suzanne was with us every step of the way, she eased our whoa moments, was very good at explaing everything to a T and above all else was patient as a saint. This was my first home and I am so happy I was lucky enough to land Suzanne McClain as my loan officer, seriously can't see myself having anybody else take point in helping me take care of my family.
