I would make sure the agent you find for us - actually will help the veteran and not just themselves with a closing check.I would not recommend the realtor that I was put in touch with. Kathy at Century 21 in Rutherfordton, NC. She did not seem to look very hard for a home for me. In fact, my friend in the area not only found the house for me, but had to take Kathy there as she couldn't find the house. I gave her a list of houses for me to go look at and told her I would be in town in 2 days time. She had not made any calls, had not checked to see if the properties were still available - or even where they were. She also drove UP an off ramp, then said she knew what she was doing. (She had just been to eye doctor - and could not see well). Thankfully I was in my friends car and not hers. My friend stopped her from driving into traffic. She flat out refused to try and get the other party to pay for closing cost OR even the fee for pest inspection. She also continually spoke badly of your service. She is not one to spare her scathing remarks on anyone - or take any blame for any mistakes or wrong doing on her part. She did NOT even go back to the house to see that the lock box off the door (which it STILL isn't). Or that I had all the keys to the locks (which I don't - and will have to cut some locks off). The house was left dirty from renters, the power off and the frig was closed. So now has to be cleaned intensely to use at all. The previous owners owe money to gas, and water - so making difficult for me.She knew that I could get all the monies from you to do all the cost and therefore felt it was not necessary to do anything to help me. Again, bad mouthing your company - but taking her cut of the monies for doing nothing but MAYBE two hours driving - taking me to 4 houses - and some paperwork - which I got all together for her and she still didn't get all to you.So, my suggestion would be to make sure that the agent actually wants

I was completely satisfied with Veterans United Home Loans. Very professional & courteous employees. Keep it up.
Ensure that all loan officers are as dedicated as Brandon..n
Mr. Bridgman was very professional, helpful and encouraging throughout the entire process. His knowledge of the VA loan process was paramount to lender's we had talked to previously. His service and knowledge are a great credit to himself, and veterans who have the privileged of working with him in the future.
No improvement needed
My loan officer, Jason Etters was ok. The assistant I worked with, Taylor, however was very difficult to work with. On multiple occasions I had to resend documents that I had already sent via Email, which is easily tracked and hard to lose. My closing date was originally set for February 8, 2013. From speaking with other home owners, a closing date being pushed back is par for the course. However a closing date originally scheduled for the 8th and being pushed back until the 26th is not par for the course. We recieved notice on the the night of the seventh that it would be pushed back one week, on the 15th. On the 14th we recieved notice that it would be pushed back again. My family was forced to live out of boxes for close to a month. It seemed to me that the communication between the underwriting staff and the loan officers was atrocious. There were a few factors that were out of our control with the weather that you have been getting the past week. My actual closing took about 3.5 hours to complete and I had to sign a document about an oil tank that I had removed that was part of my contract that we had in January!! I am so discouraged with this company and I will NEVER refer Veterans United to any of my brothers that I served with. Like I said I am not sure the involvement that Jason had, every time I dealt with him (which was very seldom) I walked away understanding the situation. He was friendly and seemed to care. This process costed me a huge amount of stress and valuable vacation at work. I hope this letter helps to fix some of the issues so another one of my veteran brothers or sisters doesn't have to go through the hell that your company put me through
Your company has an exceptional process.
