You are already perfectly qualified to do what you do. I would say though don't make promises you can't or don't intend to keep.
The only drawback that I can see in the process is, there were too many truth-in-lending packages sent out. I think I received four or five of them.
The loan process is hard and I am sure it has its added difficulties having to analogize paperwork without talking directly to the applicant. However, if our paperwork (i.e. tax returns, credit reports ...) are not clear, please ask the applicant more directed questions to get your results that you were looking for. Everyone of your questions you had of me about taxes, short sales and loans required a special statement about the issue then signed by me. If it was commutated that you needed a statement or better yet just listen to the applicants explanations then send them the statement for them correct and sign, it would make this process less frustrating. There also seems to be request for the same information over and over, I am sure that this would help solve this issue. We were answering questions up to the last minute when most of final statements could have been taken care of earlier in the process. The final thing that was frustrating was the verification of the credit report. I can only provide my name to them after that it is all the creditors (banks and credit card) that input information so calling the applicant and having a three way conference call to verify whether a loan is zero balance makes no since when that information is reported on the credit report already. These are only things that could have been better my Wife and I are grateful of the speed that our loan was processed. We love the house and thank you for your assistance in getting our house into our name.
When the process began, I was contacted by multiple people. There was the loan officer, the assistant, the transaction coordinator, the client advocate, and some others whom I spoke with perhaps only once. It is a stressful and confusing time for a first-time homebuyer and I wasn't sure who to talk to for much of the process. Once I settled in to working with the transaction coordinator, I felt much more at ease. Perhaps there is a way for homebuyers to only have to work with one person from the time the preapproval comes in until closing. Just a thought.
not so much exact proof of payments required by the officers underwriting department.
The process was easy and quick. I can;t complain.
nothing
Even though all companies can make improvements, VUHL is pretty close to perfect!
Ready to see for yourself?
Experience first-hand why 368,560 homeowners give us a perfect score!
Nothing neededs improvement billy and Melissa were excellent in what they did with my loan and made it a painless process. I would definitely recommend friends to them in the future

Overall the entire process was a good one, however there seemed to be a lot of last minute requests of me and my wife. Most I feel we're thi FD or items I could have sent in weeks prior. One example was a request for my wife's pay stubs. This request was made pretty late in the process. We had to scramble to get them in, however I was asked early in the process for the same information.
I can honestly say it was a perfect process working with both Jon and Beth.
My experience with VUHL was amazing. I do not have anything negative to say.
We couldn't ask for better assistance through the the process. Casey Martin was very helpful and on top of everything that we needed done. And he also knew how fast we needed to get into the house and we were able to get in within 5 weeks of finding the house. We would diff recommend Casey Martin and VA loans to anyone looking to buy a house!
Eveything was very satisfactory. I can't suggest any changes. Thank you.
There was confusion on which insurance company was providing home owners coverage for the loan. Safeco provided quotes and we had chose state farm but Safeco was written for the loan instead. We will have to change it later to the company we want our coverage under became on the day of signing we would have had to have it go through underwriting again. Even though Safeco is a company closely affiliated with Veterans United it should be double checked with the customer which company the customer wanted.
Honestly I do not think anything should change. However I am a first time buyer so I may not know everything that should or could happen with buying a home. But I do believe that Rachel took great care of me and always kept me up to speed.
YOUR UNDERWRITING PROCESS LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED. MY PROCESS STARTED IN JUNE 2012 AND WHILE WAITING FOR MY DD214 AND CERTIFICATE OF ELIGIBILITY IT APPEARS NO ONE WAS REVIEWING ALL THE INFORMATION THAT WAS SENT BECAUSE I RECEIVED REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION NUMEROUS TIMES IN THE ELEVENTH HOUR. I SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN TOLD IN THE ELEVENTH HOUR THAT YOU COULD NOT USE MY RENTAL INCOME BECAUSE I DID NOT HAVE LONG TERM LEASES. WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES A LONG TERM LEASE MAKE WHEN A TENANT CAN MOVE OUT ANYTIME THEY WISH. BECAUSE OF THIS WE HAD TO START THE PROCEES OVER TO INCLUDE MY WIFE'S INCOME SO THAT I WOULD QUALIFY, SO I HAD TO JUMP THROUGH ALL KINDS OF HOOPS TO GET THINGS DONE. THIS TO ME IS NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE BUT DISRECARD FOR THE CONSUMER.
If all the agents are as helpful and nice as Katie Hayes I don't see any way to improve
This is our 2nd VA home loan and we have had an extremly wonderful experience with Doug Howes and Chrissy Smith. They were extremely helpful and courteous. Will recommend VUHL to anyone. As a veteran VUHL was our best choice and happy we chose them. Found them on line and took a chance and we do not regret 1 second of it. Terrific people - keep up the great work for all veterans.
I think your company is doing an excellent job, and your loan officers are well trained.
Adveryise in base newspapers.
Tell a person everthing they need at on time so they can get it all together. It's to hard to get things when places are closed by the time you get off work.
