The underwriter is what made this process painful. Simple things that should of been addressed when requesting paperwork was not. I sent the same document 3 times because the underwriter did not specify about what the paperwork needed to contain. The underwriters do not need to take there sweet time and should work as hard as the rest of the team! Being specific from the beginning on what they needed and any concerns could make the process a LOT easy going and less stressful. I believe they need to read the SOP’s a little more thorough and be just as much as attention to detail with requests for documents and information as much as they do with approving the loan!
