I was under contract 3 months. I had to jump through hoops of flaming fire like a circus clown. I am fortunate and I have a job and could accommodate the u reasonable requests and spend the thousands of dollars to get the loan closed. What about the veterans that are disabled on a fixed income. My home was appraised at 5,000 over what I paid and I had to go through all of this. In my search, very few homes took VA, and in my discussion with my realtor. Very few realtors will touch someone using a va home loan, my realtor stated he will never do it again. I can absolutely see why. You make it virtually impossible for Veterans to utilize the benefit they earned through protecting the freedoms of this country. Then there is the fact that I started out with a realtor provided by the VA. That was horrible. She had very limited availability and sent an individual to show us a house that had zero knowledge of the VA or real-estate at all. I had to find my own civilian realtor. In the end we, including my realtor, have made contact with our state representative. It is deplorable that veterans are unable to use what they earned without so much hardship. I was fortunate, what about those that are 100% disabled. I hope you do publish mr review, but I am sure only those who had no issues and gave a shining review are published. Not even sure how you have any those.

Response from Veterans United

Leah,

I’m so sorry for all the stress you endured. I'm so glad you took time to talk with our Client Advocates. Even from here, we're only a call or email away if you need anything else.

Most sincerely,
Kendra, Client Relations

Typically purchasing a home is a stressful event; however, Rich and his team were extremely knowledgeable and provided great communication which was very reassuring every step of the process. Even the underwriter, Michael, showcased great customer experience. I’d recommend these folks 100%

Overall my experience with Veterans United was truly a blessing. Being a first time home buyer the level of stress kicks in from the jump but the employees at VU are definitely your stress relievers. They cure every single issue that comes along the way in a timely manner and never fail to update you. I am very appreciative of their service to me as a US Marine Veteran and the best part is they have many employees that are also US Military Veterans! This company was a huge blessing to my wife and I. Very content and happy with going through with Veterans United as our VA Home Loan!

I had never heard of Veterans United until four months ago - I wish I had in my past home buying days as my wife and I looked to sell our Northern Virginia home, to looking to buy a new home "somewhere" in central (Piedmont) North Caroline. Veterans United became a one-stop-source of everything a Veteran/ Retiree would want to know or needs to know about home buying. Veterans United is not a single point
of contact (individual) but a TEAM of specializing-individuals who are available to not only know exactly what there jobs are like the back of their hand for home buyers, but are willing to go the extra mile to research and provide answers to everything and anything a Veteran home buyers could/would want to know. My wife and I were blown away with the assorted Team member s(specialist) who reach out (starting day-1) to provide [with discounts available]: information about Veterans United, the benefits; moving companies, storage rental options, home security companies, home/ vehicle insurance companies, etc.Once connected with Veterans United - there was no turning back, because we did not worry, nor question, anything about the company or their specialist who had our best interest. Veterans United is exactly what the company says they are - Veterans United. If you're a Veteran you cannot go wrong in their hands.
