The Post 9/11 GI Bill is nothing compared to the lifelong benefit of using the VA Home Loan and working with Veterans United to purchase my first home. The only shame I have is not using this benefit and working with the great staff at Veterans United!

The underwriters made our loan process. Very difficult due to the fact that they didn’t understand options with financial advisors. We were taking money against our assets which did not require a set payback time frame. They were insistent that there had to be a repayment option. Our financial advisor tried to explain it but they didn’t understand. We had to liquidate shares instead which could have cost us one in taxes. Thankfully our advisor was able to sell shares without implications to our taxes. Please educate the underwriters on other options of obtaining money.
