The VA underwriter (I believe) questioned a few items last minute that had to be readdressed with inspectors to have compliance for the loan. This put both the sellers and us (the buyers) in an awkward situation on closing day. Example: if roof shingles are curling, they will need to be replaced or certified goog for a minimum of 5 years. Example 2: Any hoses taped to deep sink are questionable and inspectors will require proper routing to comply.
