Overall I had a very good experience, but as a veteran refinancing for the first time it would have made my experience a Great one if the loan officer who has the experience would've told me once we found out the assessment results would have told me the maximum amount I could have refinanced for. I believe having this information would've made this a truly great experience because when unexpected things come up knowing that information would've kept me from getting less than what I expected.
We felt like our loan officer was over loaded with work, our loan was approved and cleared to close a week before our closing on or before date. However, the title company did not get preliminary info until 2 days before closing and then the VU made adjustments and closing costs changed two times in those 2 days. It would have been nice to have closing costs fixed earlier since we had to travel from Ohio to TX for our closing. It took 50 days from our offer being accepted until we closed, we were told it should take 30-45 days.

Its difficult being in different time zones, but not too much that can be done to fix that issue.

Process was smooth, seamless. My only suggestion is more frequent updates AFTER all information requested is received. This can be the stressful period between :everything is received" and "clear to close".
Just find a way to speed their process up. Longest time I had to wait for a VA Loan to be processed. Could not beleive how much I had to do. Seemed at times, I was the one doing all on this loan. Could not beleive all the times I was told to send something (and I Faxed everything), and then was told to send something else and had to go to Fax something that could have been told to me to send. I could have Faxed stuff at the same time. I spent a lot of money Faxing.

For my self, everything was done in a timely manner. I have no recommendations at this time.
Don't wait till the day of closing to have the underwriter decide they want more information from a contractor about a report that was sent to VU a month and a half before the closing date.
Maybe just try to shorten the time it takes from beginning to end, possibly have a list of what is all needed for certain situations, or ask more questions ahead of time so homeowners know all the test that will be needed, so they can order them sooner. Overall, we were very happy with how our refinance was handled, and we would defiantly recommend them in the future.
I think your organization was awesome. You were very professional, you did not keep us in limbo, ever. I see nothing you could do to improve your product.
