To begin with most realtors cringe when you say you are pre-approved on a VA loan. We were fortunate that our Agent was very familiar with not only VA loans but as luck would have it had worked with and highly recommended Veterans United. It was then that I told him I was making him the point of contact and it was then that the loan process went smoothly. Important that you have an agent that is very familiar with VA borrowing or you could run into some resistance and difficult process. I had purchased 2 homes with VA loans the last one 30 yrs ago before our current home, times have changed. The online process is wonderful and even better if you have a knowledgeable lender that doesn't just say they offer VA loans, they really do VA loans and that is all Veterans United does. I would highly recommend Veterans United over any other lender and no matter where you are at.

VU simply makes you feel appreciated for serving-not by words alone, but through the way they operate and interact with their clients. Our second experience with VU was just as positive as the first-if not more so.

Wow! Veterans United exceeded expectations at every step of the way during our recent home buying experience. We found them to be very honest, trustworthy, helpful, and considerate which were highly important elements to us. Big box companies like USAA warned us during the comparison shopping process of online retailers and a lack of personable customer service. This was absolutely not the case for Veterans United. I felt like I had 24 hour access to our agent via a variety of communications means. We didn't even need to introduce ourselves on the phone because we recognized incoming phone numbers and the sounds of one another's voice! I comparison shopped with three different companies and Veterans United provided THE BEST customer service of the three. The Veterans United electronic system was very easy to navigate and worked well despite a number of connectivity challenges on my end. Lance Nilson of Veterans United helped us overcome obstacles with ease, leading me to think that these normal home buying obstacles are merely expected small hurdles, or that Lance is some sort of super hero in disguise. He, and Veterans United, will certainly be our FIRST choice for future purchases. Thanks for bringing us Home Veterans United!!

Veterans United was a pleasure to work with! EXCELLENT customer service! The whole process was very smooth and hassle-free. Casey Martin and his team were great to work with! True professionals.

When I first decided to purchase a home, for the very first time with it being in only my name, I’d anticipated frustration, confusion, constantly feeling uninformed. To my surprise I can say that I never felt any of those things! My experiences in the past with home buying as a couple has never been this smooth! The staff was fantastic every step of the way, answering any and all questions, including ones they’d answered for me before, and promptly returning all of my emails and phone calls! Kelly Foot and Vetrans United were recommended to me, and will be recommended by me! Thank you all for everything, and for helping make my first solo purchase such a positive experience!

The team I had at Veterans Unitied was Loan Officer Dawn Plank, Processor Mike Harrison and Jim McNeil in the Light House Program. This was my first home buying experience and they made it easy and simple as possible. They stayed in contact and kept me updated on what was going on throughout the process. When we ran into obstacles, they included me and we worked as a team to figure out what was the best plan of action to get the objective done. Solely because of this team and company design, I will definitely use Veterans United for my next home down the road. Dawn is the best loan officer ever!!!

First of all, I would like to thank Veterans United Personnel for their excellent support. I was very anxious and nervous on buying my first home. The Team at Veterans United made it so easy, the to do check lists makes your buying experience a piece of cake. The professionalism of my advisors, Todd Keicher and Ben
Lake made everything more easy going. All questions and doubts were usually answered and clarified within minutes, taking most of the anxiety away. My Real Estate Agent was very impressed with the Customer Service and the response time on any issues. Everything was done within the time limits. I would definitely recommend Veterans United as a Loan Provider to any fellow Veteran buying a house. Thank you all again for your help!!!

the people we worked with for inspections the refrigerator that was inspected and claim worked is broken
and not performing I paid for an inspection that was not done properly. they installed a new fuse box left
a wire out which would not permit and of the outlets to work. My husband diagnosed the problem and made
the repair the electrician should have returned to do the work.1250.00 was that bill for the box replacements all
elec should have worked. The water we opened our door after closing and a sign on door no water leak. The
water company had to come and do some minor work. again where was the inspection.

Response from Veterans United
Thank you for the feedback Stephen. We understand the frustrations you can have if you do not have a home inspection completed. The inspection and VA appraisal are 2 different entities with your home loan. The appraisal is to assess the value of the home and make sure it is safe, sound and secure. We always recommend you also get an inspection to make sure the home has no structural issues. For the paperwork, all documents provided can always open up new questions for underwriting so please be prepared to provide additional documents up until closing due to the VA financing being a full documented loan. Our Client Advocate team remains available should you need any additional information.
VU is a good partnership for homebuyers. VU has a great team and yes working hard for you. Thanks VU!

Overall process was quick and efficient. Ask up front what documents, etc. will be needed for the process and have them ready. Ask for the expected timeline and expected day to close, this helps keep you on track, as well as, gives you time to shop around for housing insurance.

They are Constantly looking at the best interests of the buyer and our needs. Holding your hand through every step. They made it quick and easy, and the process was smooth with every step explained and understood. They never pushed or seemed annoyed they were the best making this a dream purchase.
