Working with Veterans United as our lender for the purchase of our new home was a phenomenal experience. My loan specialist, Mike, was very knowledgeable in the entire process and made me feel very comfortable during our entire journey. Veterans United's attention to detail and appreciativeness of the veterans they work with on a daily basis was more than any company I've ever worked with. Their welcome packet came with a military inspired gift. Then about midway through the purchase process we received a neat gift for our house, and then post-closing we received another thank you gift in the mail. While my husband and I both appreciated it very much, it really was something special to him for this company to recognize his past military history in such neat and meaningful ways. It was a great experience. I was scared at first because you hear horror stories about the process but that was not the case with Veterans United. They were very friendly and helped us through each step. They did an excellent job explaining each step and what the next step would be or what we needed to do next. Veterans United is the only one we will use now.
Everyone at Veterans United was very personable and not bad to work with. When it came down to the last few days before my closing and I was expecting to get money back at closing, then find out that I had to actually pay out of pocket a lot more than what I was supposed to get back, the team at Veterans United that I was working with wanted to blame other people, like their account managers, the county and title company I was working with. They did offer me some help, but not enough to make me a satisfied customer. I would not use Veterans United again, I would prefer to use a local lender who knows more about the ins and outs of the area I am moving to.

I will recommend Veterans United to any who I know is looking for a home loan. Everything about my experience was wonderful. Tonya and the others made home buying a great experience with no hassle and we were treated like family.
