The name implies a customized service and care organization that is veteran-centered. This was the most convoluted and unorganized mortgage process I have ever endured. I know many changes have occurred since the economic debacle, but the provided services could not have been impacted by the fallout, rather, just pure negligence. My realtorwhom you provided and he wasn't that good either, but a cut above VUencouraged me to hang in the loan with VU because he said the closing rate is 100%. By the end of the loan, the bank wanted to kill the deal due to the VU nuisances, and the realtor said this was absolutely the worst closing he has ever experienced. Even at the closing, VU was negligent so we had to close in escrow--many documents were missing and finds were not appropriated. My HUD was different from the last time I saw it, just a hot mess!!!
I am a CFO and CPA and I had trouble understanding the interest rate process. I can only guess what kinds of problems less financially sophisticated persons may have in understanding what drives rates up and down and when to lock in. I think the charts used to explain the lenders discount amount are very misleading and should more explanative.
