A good faith estimate needs to be more accurate. While I understand the concept of under promise and over deliver, which is what happened, it should have been more accurate. Also, there needs to be a direct line of communication between the loan officer and the appraiser. Our appraiser was confused between the initial offer and the agreed to offer, which led to a major issue resulting in our loan closing a few days late costing me money. This could have been avoided if he had direct communication with Gerrit.
