Better efficiency
Underwriting needs to list ALL required items at the beginning. We were delayed nearly 3 weeks in closing due to "required materials" that they kept coming up with. If I could have had a list of EVERYTHING that I might have possibly needed at the beginning, it would have been a whole lot easier and a lot less stressful. I don't work well with "if" situations. I like definites and the "if" we were closing and "if" so, when situation really took it's toll on me and my family. Other than that, Dax was AWESOME!!!!
Underwriter needs customer sensitivity training. Common sense towards requested information and ask for all requirements at one time rather than do chain underwriting ie. Requesting one additional item and when that gets in ask for another, we were at the morning of closing and underwriting was asking for employment verification.

My process took much longer than I feel it should. I realize that a lots depends on a bank and their process. I finally called Doug Gardell and suddenly things moved. I may be wrong but I feel that If the process had been watched but the VUHL staff they might have realized that each month I was being asked for the same updates and the loan was not moving forward. Five months into the process I am being asked to explain the increase in my wife's income. Resign documents because the old form was used from the lendor and things like that. I staff could have lessened the the problem. I may be wrong.
