Keep buyers informed each step of the way. Try to avoid waiting too long to let buyers know you are having trouble obtaining needed documents. Everyone is aware of the closing date at least 45 days in advance. There is no reason all paperwork is not completed and to the closing attorney in time to meet the closing date. Buyers and sellers alike plan their moves around the closing date so it would be nice if the mortgage company loan officers kept this in mind. Moving is stressful enough without the added stress of a closing date that continues to be moved. With that said, our loan officer was good at keeping us informed and in hindsight did what he could to get us closed on time.
Be more informative for first time buyers as I was not aware of locking in my mortgage rate which cost me an additional 24K over the life of my loan. Most everything else was a pretty good experience
