I would not recommend VUHL because of the representation through the Loan officer that I had to deal with, I even spoke with upper management and nothing was done. Chris Rohr was very poor in communicating with me and he did not relay important things that a first time buyer would need to know or take initiative to explain or act on behalf of the buyer. I am not just a unsatisfied costumer that is trying to voice my opinion, I genuinely had a horrible experience with this loan officer and my real estate agent was more informative an explained more to me that Chris should have done. If it were up to me Chris would not get a dime of closing cost money, I would cut his check to my real estate agent. He was never available to speak to me in person, never provided pertinent documents to me in a timely manner, then at one point proceeded to put the blame on me as to why the process was being held up, saying that he had requested a certain document from me and we never had that conversation. Then when we initially started the loan package as a first time buyer I did not know what a floating rate was and he did not tell me that as soon as I found a house and gave earnest money, he did not tell me that we needed to look into locking a low rate because they could go up, and it did so I got stuck with a higher rate. On the disclosure package it was in black and whit stating that I had between May 15th to June 15th to lock in the low APR but never did Chris tell me that. I would advise to any of my veterans buddies, and I have already; to beware of lenders. Just because Veterans is used in a company name does not mean that their best interest is in the Veteran, or let alone a Veteran but a first time buyer. Poor experience overall, I am also going a step further and myself and my real-estate agent are going to report him to RESPA, he broke the code of ethics and was not professional. I would not wish my experience on any first time buyer, any buyer period!

trust the customer. I had to write letter explaining how I had my job. and what qualified me for it. I had to send in my custody papers cause your company didn't trust I didn't pay child support.
