My home loan officer- Breck Frekling was great. The closing process was a nigthmare. Documents that should off been processed earlier were missing at time of closing.
Better communication, especially as it deals with the inordinate amount of time it takes VA to complete these loans as compared to other resources.
While the loan officers were seemingly proficient in their duties I was dissatisfied and frustrated with the frequent multiple requests for the same information by underwriting. It was clear that information provided was overlooked or disregarded resulting in requests for the same information and prolonging processing time. Also, it appeared that underwriting was unable to interpret information provided such as deducing why the number of dependents or deductions would be reduced after a divorce or increased after a marriage, especially when COMPLETE divorce and marriage documents were provided. Additionally, the closing documents were incorrectly prepared, containing the name of my ex-wife who was never involved in any way with any transaction concerning the property.
I can not express the overall experience that I have felt with the team of UVHL. The loan officer made me feel has if I were the only person that he was interesting in. I know their were more cases that Steve Veltrop had to work with, but he never once drop the ball on me. It was like having my owe officer, and for that I am very greatful. Thank you very much Steve. You will always be remembered.

our experance was very good Roger Modde our loan officer was excellent he didn't promise things until he was sure of them and helped us every step of the way. i would definatly recommend VU to my friends and family
In the future each state's home owners insurance should be better researched before stating it on the GFE. On the first GFE our home owners was initially stated $220.00 less per month then the actual amount causing higher payments than originally anticipated.
