I would never recommend this loan and we will never be using it again. First of all our closing estimate was 8000 and we ended up paying 12000. Then they said because we were paying our taxes for our first 3 months then we get a bill for the full mortgage payment it was very sneaky and confusing I would not recommend this loan to anyone we spent so much money on closing costs we should have just put down money and gone to a real bank. NEVER AGAIN

Ensure that the closing date will follow as planned and make it more of a priority. I kind of felt like the closing date was being set back because of lack of effort on the underwriters. But, my loan officer did do everything in his power to help the closing date follow as planned...and it did.

Loan officer was great. Still having someone send me documents to sign two weeks after loan closed and sellers had their money was not great. VU needs to improve shared information between VU and the title company.
