Documents were sometimes duplicate copies of papers that had been submitted. I do not know who or why these papers were delivered by mail or by email but sometimes they were very time-consuming. A cover letter explaining documents to be filled out by applicant would be a boost to understanding the entire house loan procedure.
A full list of documents needed istead of asking at last moment and a daily update will be more than wealcome
I feel that the Loan Officer done everything he could to try and ensure an easy process, but it was anything but that. Once the Underwriter got the loan package it got very stupid. With constant request for the same documents and a dozen phone calls to our employers asking for the same information over and over. There was much confusion and we were very unhappy with our experience with Veterans United.
Honestly, I don't have any input as far as improvements. Don and the rest of the staff were very helpful and handled everything with urgency and professionalism.

The lenght of time involved seemed very long at times. the repetitions of some of the paper work was counter productive. I realize that there is a great deal of information that must be verified but a 40 year old divorce decree and the question of my wifes name on the title, 3 years after her passing, indicates the need for a more complete training program. You did provide me with a much needed service and I do appreciate the final completion of it. Respectfully-J M HEINLE
It is a very rare occurrence that I could not give some sort of recommendation to improve something from a company, especially a mortgage service provider. I have NEVER been treated better than Veterans United treated me, in particular Ben Choi who assisted me from start to finish. I had a very unique situation on top of having to relocate in a very short notice time frame and there wasn't a single time through this process that my questions went unanswered or something wasn't promptly handled by Ben. As you are aware Mr. Choi is an important asset to your team and I am very grateful that he was my loan officer as my situation on purchasing a home was extremely stressful with the alotted time I had between work and relocating. Thank you for making this the absolutely best experience I have ever had in purchasing, financing, and promptly closing on our brand new home.
the loan fees are way too high.
The good faith estimate is distracting and redundant without much help in providing solid information to make decisions with during the process; I believe it could be better utilized or handled in a way which would make it more useful than it is currently. Also, rushing the material straight to the underwriter would expedite the process in completing the final sale and closing because it would help identify everything that is needed initially, rather than waiting to find out more information may be needed only days or hours prior to the actual planned meeting for closing. A data base with full VU processor comments that is accompanied by individual copies of each shared documentation would be best to avoid redundant questioning for clarification of the same documentation by follow-on processors. This would also help to avoid overlooked, insufficient data, which required more details at the time of reciept.
My experience was very positive. Everything was handled very professional but with a touch of personality that made it fell friendly and under no pressure. I would highly recommend veterans united to anyone. Mike Moore and Hayden Grant were great to work with on the purchase of my home. They made me feel like a friend.
Nothing, everything was perfect
Everything was great!
Making sure delays in signing can be cut out. Use a more dependable appraisal inspector
I am not sure @ this point if I can think of any thing. The Loan Officer we worked with was excellent in helping understand this entire process & the Team that helped & guided us thru all the questions were excellent as well. They were fast & steady keeping us posted as what to do next every step of the way.
As of yet nothing comes to mind
Advertise VUHL availability at major banks (don't know if that is legal or against standard practice) to increase awareness for younger military families.
Not sure how you would do this, but it would be helpful if the borrower could be made aware of the excessive amount of paper work required. There were times I felt like quitting.
I would have to say that my overall experience with VUHL was better that I could had ever expected. And i cannot think of anything negative throughout my process.
I see no problems to improve.
I REALLY DON'T. I WAS TOLD BY SO MANY PEOPLE WHAT A LONG DRAWN OUT TIME I WAS GOING TO HAVE WITH ALL THE DIFFERENT PEOPLE AND THE TONS OF PAPER WORK I HAD TO GET THROUGH. BUT THAT WASN'T THE CASE FOR ME ALL THE PEOPLE I DELT WITH WERE EXTREMELY HELP HELPFUL FROM START TO FINISH.. THANKS TO YOUALL AND TO YOU MIKE.KENT
This loan process was too long even with our loan officer working very hard for us.
Just keep up the great work
