I'm not really sure if I would recommend Veterans United home loans to anyone because I believe that I could have gotten a lower rate, at least .5 lower that what I got. There are lower rate home loans out there. A fair and low interest rate should be locked in at the lowest possible. I was never asked if a wanted to lock a rate, and it wasn't until later in the process that I was given the rate and by that time the rate was kind of high.
The best way would be to get closings faster and give some kind of certainty that this loan will go through I started looking for other lenders after the first thirty days my wife and I felt uncertain about anything positive ending my loan which I am very grateful for thank you but for almost 6o days I was unsure I would even get a closing or not it seemed to just keep going and going over almost the same stuff pre approval seems to be a hoax didn't mean anything I had to get pre approved over and over how many times do you really need to check credit reports and the file seemed to go back and forth to the same people over and over again and seemed never ending over all Alex was very good I think the company policies need to change. It was hell on this end
Keep the buyer informed and updated on a regular basis. Associates lack communication with each other and the buyer. Our realtor Randy Thompson was honest and we really enjoyed working with him.
although my mortgage was unique the end result was exactly what I needed. one thing that concern me was the email communications using nonsecure means like yahoo or gmail. transferring personal information this way got me concern. a better system for future customers need to be in place, such as encrypting file transfer into a secure server; by using an FTP process. this wasy the customer can login with minimun risk. during my process i didnt notice a system being used in this manner to its full potential.
