Our loan officer, Shawn Glover, and the entire loan team were great to work with. They made the process smooth and easy. Shawn’s knowledge, patience, and kindness were so instrumental in making our dream of home ownership come true.
I'd recommend this program to any VA service member that is interested in buying a home thank you all for the helpful information and getting my home 🏡
Veterans United was my first choice when I decided to relocate to a new State and buy a home. They were not recommended to me, I made my decision based on reading the information and comments on their Website and just hoped they were genuine. Yes, they are genuine and you are in good hands.
Veterans United made the loan process easy. However, be prepared for delays and hiccups along the way that will add to your already stressful loan process.
I can't offer enough praise for the professional services provided by the Veterans United loan team. I recommend to all Veterans seeking a home loan to work with Veterans United Home Loans.
Veterans United home loans has streamlined the entire home buying process to where I almost completed the entire thing on my mobile phone. I was amazed to not even miss a full day of work during this whole process.
This was my third time with Veterans United and it was great yet again. They don't leave you in the dark on anything!
I’d definitely recommend any Veteran to use who is considering buying or refinance with their VA benefits to use Veterans United loans. Our home buying experience was amazing than ever. Their Underwriting team was on spot, every document we submitted was updated right few hours after submission which made the process faster.
Are they legit?..........completely legit! :) Being in Oregon but having your loan agent in Missouri can be a little nerve-wracking at first. However the people at Veteran's United and especially our loan officer Nate Bitner made it so easy and comfortable to walk through the process. Their communication and availability is the top notch and it is what sets them apart from the all the others!
The concierge service was a great help setting up utility service at new address. This service alone is worth its weight in gold!
I would like compensation for the lost interest I paid to cover my own interests in the loan that failed to clear on time and should have been dealt with without my involvement. I'm fairly certain if I hadn't gotten involved we very likely would have gone beyond the 15 day grace period with the mortgage company thinking it was all taken care of. Without my follow up (several hours of dealing with this) it seems no one would have known there was an issue. Even until just an hour ago no one know there was a problem...
Response from Veterans United
Thank you for this feedback Robert. A member of our Client Advocate Team has left you a message and sent an email for additional details. We understand how the home buying process can get stressful, especially when certain aspects are not resolved quickly and accurately the first time. Delivering exceptional customer service is important to all of us at Veterans United. While we cannot change the experience you had we want to ensure that no other customers have this same experience in the future. Our hope is that your home serves you well and we invite you to connect with us for any needs in the future.

It's been a long time since I've applied for a mortgage on a home, and there's more to it than I remember. Be prepared to provide documentation, lots of it, in a timely manner to keep the process going. Depending on your circumstances, you may have to contact several agencies for current information, which may have to be mailed to you, though some is available online. An updated computer and printer/scanner are invaluable. Read information VU has posted on their website which can be helpful to you. Also be aware that even though most loans are "0 down payment", there are fees involved, some of which can be rolled into the loan, but expect there to be some cash layout required at closing. Discuss any concerns with your loan specialist and they will be happy to help.
