I didn’t think I’d be in my own house this year. Veterans United not only approved my loan but actually approved me for $150,000 more than I initially thought I could qualify for. Seemed to be too many hoops to jump through when we are a well qualified buyer with top credit scores. Requests to get Retirement Orders, A signed letter from a Commander (in this case a General) and the Retirement pay calculator was redundant and very demeaning. Especially when we could just purchase the property with cash and our $1.6 million in investments were not even taken into account. This was after our loan officer said the letter from the commander wouldn’t be required.
