Great process and would use VU again on my next home buying process. My only critique is their initial monthly mortgage payment and cash to close cost estimates were both substantially lower than the finial determinations. For the mortgage payment estimate, it did not include flood insurance and wind and hail insurance coverage within the estimate. Both of these policies were mandatory, so they should reflect this within the mortgage estimate (only standard home insurance was reflected within the mortgage estimate). For the cash to close cost estimate, the initial estimate had nearly $9k in credits and discounts, but buy the time closing came around, that number was reduced to $1k. This resulted in our cash to close being nearly tripled. I believe there should have been a better job done initially estimating the cash to close. Beyond these two critique, everything else was superb.
The loan process involving the test needed was a bit cumbersome. We truly tried to stay on top of everything that was required, in a very timely manner and as thoroughly as possible. There was one point that frustration set in but we managed to make your underwriter happy and the loan closed.
