To any potential veterans home buyers, I would recommend Veterans united. They are a great group of people that explain the process to you and keep you posted on any issues along the way.

Wouldn’t trust anyone else with this huge decision. VU walks you through everything so there aren’t any surprises. I really appreciate everything that have done for me and my family.

Veterans United provided us with a terrific home-buying experience. The team was on top of every detail. The website was easy to use and the documentation requested of me was easy to input into the system. The team was always courteous and made the experience extremely pleasant. Thanks.

Veterans United is the real deal! The service, the communication, the products, the streamline process. They don’t just do lip service in supporting military/ veteran families. They live it everyday in their actions. I have used Veterans United on 2 separate mortgages and after my experience I don’t plan on using any one else on future purchases. In these life choices you need to pick the right team. A team that no matter what will “Charlie Mike” (continue mission). This is the team

When time permits I will be filing a complaint with the Dept. of Veterans Affairs and my Secretary of State here in MN based off of my experience. If you happen to chose VU for your home buying/refinancing do NOT allow them to send you to Boston National Title for your Title work.

Hi Andrew, your honest feedback is valuable and we thank you for sharing your voice with us. A member of our Client Advocate team has attempted to reach you directly. Seems to be problems at every turn, I’d get a to do list form them with 11 things on it. Id get them done next day 11 more things and so on. The underwriter that you use is, well needing to go back to school or something. I mean 4 years of receipts from licensed bug exterminator isn’t good enough, they want to see a contract for those 4 years, pushed closing back 3 days because of that. Which had myself and the sellers thinking about bailing out of the agreement. Jake I hate to kick you on this but, in the beginning of this whole deal it was easy to get ahold of you, towards the end when everything was tougher you were MIA! Nearly impossible to get ahold of you. Alison was great always easy to work with and very helpful.
The high closing costs you guys charge is out of control.
The realtor that Veterans United put me in contact with wouldn’t even work with me tell she had the pre approval letter in her hand. Even when I was in the area I was relocating too, she refused to show us a house until she had that letter. Don’t recommend using the realtors that Veterans United recommend, cause unless they have a pre approval letter there doing nothing for you. Which tells me there only about the money and could careless about the people.
So in closing, should this review make it on you sight (which I believe it won’t) there is way easier was to to use the VA loan then using Veterans United. Talk with a good realtor they can set up the VA loan way smother then Veterans United can.

Hi Michael, we appreciate your honest feedback and are disappointed to hear about your experience with the Loan Officer and Realtor. Our Client Advocate team is here for you to help ensure an outstanding customer service experience, and we invite you to connect with us further. We realize that the home buying process can become stressful when working to gather the required documentation and understand that the underwriting process did not meet your expectations. The mortgage process can certainly feel intrusive, but we want to reassure you that this in-depth analysis is a worthwhile step. Licensed Underwriters comply with regulations to ensure loans are properly documented, and we work to make that process as easy as possible. The underwriting process serves to protect the integrity of our industry and families who might otherwise fall into a financial hardship. As far as origination fee (or the fee that VUHL charges) the VA allows lenders to charge up to 1% of the loan amount to cover the origination, processing and underwriting costs, if the lender if charging the 1%, they are not allowed to tack on additional charges for things the VA basically considers overhead. A member of our Client Advocate team will be researching this situation further to determine how we might better communicate the right expectations. Please reach out to us so that we can work to improve for you and our future clients.
We acquired a conventional home loan, which seemed to be far more difficult than a Veteran's loan.
Veterans United, and its Loan Officer (Matt) was excellent to work with. Although, I believe the Underwriter is not completely educated in higher finance and assets owned by prospective borrowers. This lack of knowledge made our process much more difficult than it needed to be.

Veterans United was great to work with. They made the process easy and stress free. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants to apply for a new home loan or refinance their existing home.

My experience working with Veterans United was great. Andy Harris and his entire loan team helped me navigate through this process of first time home buying very comfortably. Although a little challenging due to the current housing market situation,
they were all there to provide great service. They were dedicated, prompt and professional. I feel like they helped my process go smooth. I would Highly recommend VU to any Veteran seeking homeownership.

From the initial application process to closing, Veterans United is by far the easiest and quickest experience my wife and I have had. The application was very detailed and thorough and we were able to complete in one sitting. The next day we were paired with our team and in very minimal time (seemingly) we were ready to start closing. The time-line wasn't that short but it was less than half the time that it took than our previous experiences with other companies. Thank you Veterans United! Also, a big thank you to Josh Schultz and his team!
Josh was AMAZING. Josh's attention to detail and quick responsiveness was on a whole other level. Going into the refinance, my wife and I were very concerned about how the process was going to go. We had a difficult time buying the house with a separate mortgage company while I was deployed. That purchase experience had us very concerned about refinancing. Josh made the experience so much better and the process was sooo much easier that I can't imagine going through this process with anyone else ever again. I will be giving his contact information to anyone and everyone I hear buying or refinancing another house. He and the rest of the team are absolutely amazing at what they do and I can't thank them enough!

This was a great experience. Making a family dream come true. May God Bless Veteran United

Sarah was also a rockstar. She deserves a raise!!!! Great team.
