
Overall the experience seemed fine until the last few days. Three days prior to close, we found out there was over 6 months of taxes that weren't accounted for in our final disclosure. After discovering that, our loan specialist Kody Gilbow attempted to remediate this issue by applying a credit towards closing. Come to find out, this credit was likely not because of the loan team dropping the ball on providing us with an accurate closing disclosure outlining up to date closing costs, but because Kody never updated our entire loan to list myself (Joseph) as the primary VA loan beneficiary.During the initial stages of the loan process, I was to be the primary loan beneficiary due to my 100% disability rating and the associated VA loan benefits that come with that. Our initial loan disclosure listed my spouse (who is active duty and not disabled) as the primary. We called Kody multiple times, emailed, and after several days he finally told us that we needed to just sign the document and it would be fixed "later"--obviously this was complete B.S. in hindsight.Come closing day, the title company representative notifies us that I (Joseph) am not the primary loan beneficiary, the issue was never corrected, and Kody attempted to white wash the unresolved problem by applying closing credit for another problem Veterans United created.Finally, Kody Gilbow provided me with, and verified, THE WRONG WIRING INSTRUCTIONS. Therefore, I spent the morning of closing trying to retrieve thousands of dollars from another title company. This delayed closing, and could have completely ended the sale if I could not have retrieved the closing funds. I never received any correspondence from Kody or a phone call attempting to correct this error or even provide a canned apology.We will not be using Veterans United ever again, and will actively dissuade those we know from using your services.The sloppiness, lack of attention to detail, and unprofessionalism of this organization is reflected in our experience.
