







We were delayed a month in closing because of extremely insignificant things that our inspector said was okay, but an unqualified appraiser said we needed to have rechecked. A class "A" contractor says something is safe, and an appraiser says it needs to be looked at again. So we get another contractor out there that agrees its safe. But not after me loosing another $500. And I got charged the $150 reappraisal fee, when no reappraisal took place. The individuals I was in contact with were very helpful and I have no gripes with them. But if I had gone with Navy Federal I'd probably be about $1,000 better off. Would not recommend

Veterans United was the best we have used. We move a lot and have used several different lenders large and small. Veterans United has an easy to use online system that makes communication easy and fast. We were able to get closed in 20 days. The only hold ups we had were with people outside of Veterans United.

While my rating is a 10 because my loan team worked very hard and the result was overwhelmingly positive there are a few things that could be improved on.1. To Do List: I think having items earlier would result in less of a "panic" state when you see additional items added after everything was supposed to be completed.2. Communication: Sometimes this felt delayed and the only negative my process had was a 3 day delay in closing, I believe this would not have happened with better communication.
