As a veteran on my second VA loan process, I beg you all to please consider Veteran’s United if you are looking for a VA mortgage. They have everything we looked for in mortgage lending: great customer support, low interest rates and rapid approval. Foremost is customer support. Our loan officer, Brian Bradley should be gold standard for every loan officer in this world. He is simply unbelievably caring, competent, genuine, and an expert at informing the customer of the next moves and how to complete them in a timely manner. We had a problem with our first property, chose a second and still, somehow, from start to close was 28 days. He, his team member Lee Ann, and the other five or six unnamed team members who touched our case are a great credit to Veteran’s United. In addition to great people, VU has some of the best learning resources I have seen. The website walks you through the intricacies of mortgage lending in simple language and offers everything you need to manage your mortgage from beginning to end. I was able to educate myself on complicated items like underwriting and refinancing. VU is excellent for empowering consumers and helping them understand all the details before signing.
I absolutely 100% recommend using Veterans United. Buying a home can be extremely stressful, but this great group of people will see you through it!
Plan for a long wait in regards to the VA appraisal time frame.
Don't use them cause my experience was horrible with them. My realtor was having a bad experience with them and almost lost get the house we were buying

The one thing I would say to help the process is just double checking names on documents. I understand that there is a lot that goes into this, but specifically to my employer to check my employment history. There were a couple emails sent with the wrong name, or my spouses name which my boss got very confused with.

If my experience with Veterans United Home Loans is the norm I do not see a need to look for other loan offers. The fees are in line with other out there, for me the team I worked with headed by Nate Bitner was what you look for when doing any kind of personal business.
