Even though the Process had a lot of extra documentations needed due to my situation, The People were very up to date and worked with me to keep me informed and at ease about the issues that came up with my application. Very upbeat and honorable people that I would recommend to anyone.
It would be nice to do all inspections BEFORE advising the customer to lock in the interest rate due to limited extensions, if a problem arises due to a inspection discrepancy.
Our initial contact with Veterans United was not great. I thought I was submitting my information online to look at some information to help educate ourselves. Not more than 30mins after I submitted my information I was called by 2 loan officers, 1 who I don't remember and the other Tom Welek. Over the weekend my wife and I wanted to ask some questions so we decided to call Tom Welek but he didn't answer over the weekend so we called the 1-800 number and ended up talking to Curt Fischer. This gentleman had to be the worst person that could represent your organization. He was very condescending towards my wife and thought we should know how everything works. My wife and I stated to him that we were not looking to fill out any paperwork or get pre approved, all we wanted was information. He was very pushy to get personal information out of us to start a pre approval applications, even though we told him we didn't want to do that. After looking at your website and doing a lot of research ourselves, we called Mr. Tom Welek again to see if we could start the process with him. He was more than helpful. Tom made us feel very comfortable with every step of the way. He explained everything to us as many times as I or my wife needed him to in order for us to get it. Tom never made us feel uncomfortable about the buying process. He is an asset to your organization. I really hope this is the kind of people that represent your organization, not Curt Fischer.
