The only discouraging part of the experience was the fact that we paid over $3000 in closing costs when we were told at the start of the process that as a veteran, I would have no closing costs. But my loan officer, Luke and his assistant, Melissa, were awesome.
Hell no. Most of all the decisions were guessing and not giving me information so I can make good decisions. I don't appreciate having my closing date having major financial changes within 6 hours of closing. You guys messed up the tax rate and didn't call the title company for verification and made me have to owe money at the end. Clearly there are too many people working one loan and information changed from one person to the next. Everyone needs to know what the standard so the customer knows from the Beginning not towards the end and have to jump they hoops. Glad this is over! I have closed on 3 homes. This was the worse!
Veterans United was wonderful to work with every step of the way in securing my mortgage. Patty and Maureen were excellent! They kept me up to date on everything. Their communication was outstanding. They went above and beyond and treated more like a friend than a client.
Alex McFarland was excellent in making this deal Happen,he was patient with me and always made me feel better even when he had to deliver bad news..Later as we moved to the underwriters Amelia was wonderful as well...I am very happy with their help in making this deal happen.

What I like and enjoyed is how Matt kept me well informed in each and every step of my loan process no matter how basic or important nothing was ever left to assumption. You as a buyer were always kept in the loop.
Johnna was more than helpful throughout the entire process. There was a disconnect though the closing attorneys struggled with the process, and your fax machine does not eork well, we sent many duplicate copies of documents. If given a choice I would go through a local bank not veterans united. However johnna made a tough situation far more smoother than we expected. She was great to work with. Because of her we would consider recommending veterans United to friends and family.
Nathan was extremely helpful and knowledgeable making the refinance the easiest we have ever experienced.
