Our loan officer was very nice and on top of everything all questions where answered very quick and I received all call backs very quickly. Thank you for helping with our new home.

I think overall veterans united did a wonderful Job walking us through our first home buying experience. I think the only suggestion I could offer is perhaps to make some interactive features so buyers could see where their loan file is, especially when it comes it to preapproval and the final approval stages. I know a lot of people don't like to constantly contact their loan officers for statuses and updates.:

Pleases make the document process easier. Some of the documents requested were repeats or the sampe information was provided in several documents
Communication was a serious concern during our process. Our loan officer went on vacation right when we were supposed to close. His stand in was very poor at communicating with us and was quite difficult to reach when we had questions regarding the status of the process. When we could get in touch with him he would often be quite rude. When our verification of funds was requested by United, over a week went by before WE called to ask what was going on only to find out that United "hadn't heard back from the bank". Interesting enough though, I called the bank that very same day, and a request of funds in our account had not been received nor any of the supposed "messages" left for them. Once I called the bank, the matter was resolved that same day. I should not have needed to step in, this should have been completely handled and in a timely manner by United. Due to this poor communication, our close date was pushed back from the 1st to the 8th of March. Once our normal loan officer returned, things seemed to improve a bit, but not completely. At our closing, WE came prepared with everything WE needed but United failed to send the wire transfer for the sellers of our home and we would not get the keys until Monday the 11th. WE had taken the entire day off work so that after the closing we could go right to the house and celebrate and start painting. When one has a small child, schedules and planning are a necessity. We lost an entire weekend of moving due to this oversight not to mention a very bad taste in our mouths for Veterans United. I understand that issues arise and delays happen, but this was a terrible experience, ESPECIALLY for being first time home buyers. I expected more support than we received. I should not need to prod people to do their own job.
