Need to be a little less surprises on fees that they buyer has to put up out of pocket during the loan process. But over all and enjoyable experience.
I was informed by my loan officer that there wasn't a department available to issue formal complaints. I have since forwarded my concerns to the better business bureau.
The fees for a VA loan are more than we were accustomed to paying on our conventional mortgages at closing. Also, some of the forms required were absolutely absurd (i.e. the number of dependants when the information is clearly stated on Form 1040, and others because the form "may" be required in other states). I would suggest finding brokers within an applicant's state of residency. When a closing agent won't give you a hard copy of all the forms signed due to the voluminous size, other than on a compact disk, it tells you that forms are not being selected because they are necessary, but rather because they "may" be required in some state other than Florida. The end result is higher fees to the consumer and time delays. We were down to the wire on our closing date. We appreciated Mr. Jahnsen and his assistant's perserverance every step of the way.
The hassle between appraiser, loan officer, credit bureau, and client was absolutely ridiculous and the length of time it took to communicate between all of these parties nearly cost me my locked in APR
The turn around time between communication could have been a little better but I am not sure of the workload for each VA Loan officer. Other then that I do feel that the loan officer did everything that he could to get this done for me. We were actually done before the estimated closing date. I would definately recommend VUHL. Thank you!!!
