GreT job
The team from Veterans United made my first-time home purchase extremely smooth, excellent communication during each step made the entire process much less complicated than I was expecting, highly recommend!
Hands down Veterans United Home Loans is dedicated to Veterans and treats them with respect.
Our experience from start to finish was phenomenal! Daren Bodine’s enthusiasm was infectious. This was a first home buying experience for myself as the wife of a Marine. He explained the process from start to finish and responded to calls promptly. He made me feel comfortable to express my concerns and for that I am thankful. The rest of the team, Kaitlyn and Arin were professional but were easy to talk to. Kaitlyn kept me on my toes through calls and emails and we were able to close within 32 days! As we prepare for our move into our new home Arin will be my first contact if I have any questions or advice!
Words alone cannot express how we feel about this wonderful team of personnel that go above and beyond to help Veterans in their home buying journey. Thank you, thank you from our family to yours! I will definitely refer this company for anyone needing a home loan.
Some of the resources in the portal were not necessarily accurate. For example, myVU portal has SpaceX being one of my only options for internet, asides from satellite. However, Spectrum services this area; and I would not have known if I didn't see the Spectrum van servicing other properties in the area. Additionally, the portal prompted me to transfer electric service via Dominion Energy. However, Community Electric Cooperative services our area, not Dominion Energy. Just small things, but all in all, amazing services provided to us by Veterans United.
Danny made the experience great! We would recommended him to any Veteran looking for a new mortgage!
My experience with Kurt Lofton was great! I changed jobs at the beginning of the process and got married two weeks before closing. Kurt made these life changes easy by buying a house simultaneously. He was never pushy or negative in any way. He simply guided us on what he needed, and it was the smoothest home-buying experience I have ever had, and this is my 5th home purchase.Kurt was always available and always promptly returned my calls or e-mails! In the end, we closed without issue, all of the required documentation was received without errors, and the loan was funded on-time!!THank you, Kurt, for all your efforts! Cheers!!Jim and Whitney Lauffer
I would not recommend VU for a loan. I already mentioned some of the bigger issues above. Even my buyer's agent complained about trying to work with VU. Some of the same issues I mentioned above. It was just a bad experience. In addition to what I mentioned previously, working with Heather was frustrating as well. She kept coming up with new documentation requirements. One example, she asked for the last two years of W2s. I provided those which showed I worked with CACI, changed to Novetta for 4 months, then back to CACI. She then asked for proof of employment with CACI which I provided. That included working with CACI from June 2014 to June 2021 and then Nov 2021 to present. She then decided I needed to provide proof / dates of employment with Novetta. After several days of going back and forth, I mentioned that Novetta was acquired by Accenture which was one of the reasons I decided to return to CACI. After multiple days of my time trying to get her the information and after I told her multiple times that I didn't think I should have to provide that information since (1) I showed 8+ years of employment with CACI, and (2) I provided a W2 from Novetta, she finally agreed and submitted my paperwork without the additional information. That was a waste of time and effort and just one specific example of the difficulties working with VU. Never again.

Veteran's United was very easy to work with. The online portal couldn't have been any easier. Made the process very straight forward, great for somebody like me that is often very busy and tied up. Great communication. Process was as smooth as ice.
This is the only way to go for buying a home. My team was absolutely outstanding. I couldn’t be more pleased.
