Coming from a veteran who was once homeless.
You guys have made a dream come true. Thank you!
The team kept in constant touch with me and steered me away from the usual anxiety of these transactions. I knew what was happening and what was expected at all times. I sensed that they enjoyed their job as well as helping people.
The team was great to work with! Great communication throughout!
As a first time home buyer I went into the process already anxious. Although, my process started and ended twice before I got to my now team with Chris, I was feeling down about Veteran’s United. However, once Chris took over I actually felt hope that a home was for me. My buying process was tough very tough and delayed a few times but my team assured I would get a house. They made sure I had things and alerts as early as possible from weekly calls and emails I feel that made me keep organized. The online portal is WONDERFUL- it kept me organized, on track, and gave notifications so you d wouldn’t miss anything. I think that was my favorite part of the process ;).
I would say that for a “improvement” it would be helpful for first timers to maybe get a beginners crash course of expectations from the process as well as real estate lingo that is frequently used because I often felt confused or didn’t understand something which left me confused and upset. I will say that after going through the process I feel well educated and more comfortable if I were to buy another home. Overall, I got the starter home I wanted and I am so happy - so thank you to everyone who helped me along the way!
Veterans united worked tirelessly and was very instrumental in achieving our goal of owning a home. Emmett, tiffani, and juli (real estate agent) made the stressful experience of purchasing a home a less stressful experience with their hard work, determination and great communication. I would recommend veteran's united to any veteran looking to buy a home.
I’d also like to express my gratitude for Julie. It seemed as soon as she got an update, she let me know immediately and worked diligently so that I was even able to close early.
It was so stressful. Being active duty, the complete lack of understanding on behalf of VU was appalling and incredibly frustrating. We will not refer VU. We have spoken to others who had similar experiences. 'Veterans United' is a misnomer.

Veterans United made it possible for me to have my own home. As a disabled veteran with two big dogs no renters would allow I’ve been so close to homelessness, moving from place to place for years now but thanks to the VU team I won’t be getting kicked out anymore. I’m so thankful and the team was very diligent about all the tasks that needed to be completed. The website is also very handy for tracking the entire process which was great for me to see what needed to be done next on my part or for me to see what VU was doing after I had submitted documents, signatures, etc. I highly recommend VU to everyone eligible!
Don't forget about Derick! That dude was amazing and helped me out DAILY! Thank you man you get a 10 in my book!!

Experience first-hand why 308,645 homeowners give us a perfect score!
Everything went fine the VA funding fee is steep though
The only thing that shocked me was that we were approved for a certain amount and then learned the closing costs and loan origination fees were almost $20,000. Which made a big difference in our loan cost, which leads to a higher payment. No ones fault - just the times we are in!
It was a pleasure to work with Brandon as well. The entire staff was helpful from beginning to end. I would highly recommend to any veteran searching for a home loan.
