I would like to say that my dealing with Veterans United has been a great experience for me. My first time buying a home. The whole process seamed to be seamless even with me having to go through the secondary approval dept. I followed the guidelines they had in place and things just moved along so smoothly, Once I had those steps completed my loan officer took the ball and ran with it, any questions or concerns i had were dealt with promptly and thoroughly. At first, I had doubts about the company. I was being careful not to be scammed.
I spoke with Mr. Ross Pierson (loan officer) and told him that I was interested in applying for a VA home loan. He gave me some details (benefits) of a VA home loan and the criteria to be qualified and so on and so forth. after listening to him on the phone, I came into conclusion that this man knows the product he is selling. So, I trusted him and started complying to the documents he needed for pre-qualification although I haven't seen him in person. I had a very good feeling about him and his associate Mr. Matt Van Ronzelen. I had no regrets because the processing of my VA home loan until closing was very smooth. In fact we are suppose to close June 28th but it was closed June 26th instead which was outstanding. We have now our dream home.
Thank you VUHL for believing in us and allowing us to purchase our new. We are excited to start his new journey in our lives. There were a few bumps in the road but glad we overcame those obstacles. Thank you again for believing in us when no one else would!
Michelle Modtland our loan officer was a pleasure to work with. You could always know she was smiling on the other end of the phone when you were talking with her. She knows her product.
In the processing of my loan, a lien was discovered against the property (not on me of course). It took a while to clear it up. However, even after it was cleared up it took 2 more months to close on the loan. It seems as there was no anticipatory comprehensive review as to what documents might expire & need to be updated so they could all be updated and submitted at the same time. Instead I would be notify of one thing that need to be updated. After getting that updated, then another, then another, then another. It was absolutely mentally torture to continually be bombarded with yet another and another update. This went on so long that my apprisal expired and another one had to be done. This resulted in a $20,000 lower appraisal than the first one. This also result in net cashback to me reduced by $10,000. All of this at the time I was going through the last two months of my grandson Savion's battle with leukima. He died on the day of closing! Because of his mother's financial situation, I had to pay for the funeral of which that money would have certainly helped. While I like Tyler Sadich and Stan Schauffler, the people I worked with at VU; I think you can figure out why I am absolutely dismayed by this process and I just would NOT recommend VU to anyone else.
We had some issues because of a divorce and division of property that the credit bureaus would not correct, but the team at United worked through all issues and the end results were at complete success, I'm unpacking boxes today! Thanks, William Stone
