I specifically told my team that this was all new to me since this was my first purchase. I was assured that I would have someone guide me through the process. I only got contacted when I didn't go and figure out how to complete tasks without any help. And even then, it was just a simple, "you have tasks to do." My realtor did almost no work when it came to searching for a house and even did the final walkthrough without me (I didn't know that was not normal since I HAVEN'T DONE THIS BEFORE).
As much as I wanted to go with Navy Federal Credit Union for my mortgage, the constant communication and speed of responses from Veterans United gave me more confidence that they would be able to get my loan closed on time with little friction. A+

Nick made me feel so safe going through this process. I have trust issues and I can be pretty pessimistic about things, but Nick was wonderful in explaining everything to me, giving me updates on the process at every stage. He really listened to my concerns and focused on allaying them. He was also very proactive preemptive, bringing up questions that I had but hadn’t been able to formulate and verbalize yet. He was kind and approachable without being the overly enthusiastic, over bearing “salesman” type. I could let my guard down.
