I was not happy at all with the constant price change of the loan. The “no cost VA refinance” ended up taking a loan I owed 301k on and turned it into a 306k loan mind you the original loan was 305k. So I’m have my a hard time understanding how this was a no cost loan. Seems to me everyone got their money at my expense and I paid a bank 28k to only be negative 1k 14 months later. Quite the racket banks have so make sure it’s really worth your while before considering a “no cost refinance” with any bank. Rick is a great guy though and I don’t fault him for doing his job it’s not like my money went in his pocket just his big corporate bosses pockets.

On 11/28/23 I decided to google VA Home Loan and because of Veterans United we closed on our forever home on 1/30/24. The process was seamless and several times it felt too good to be true but that's just how smooth it went because we are first time homebuyers. Not only did this feel out of reach 3 months ago, I would have continued to feel it was so if my loan officer didn't lay out the exact amounts we'd need for closing costs, monthly payment estimates that are still accurate after closing. Veteran or conventional loan, I highly recommend VU.
