I know this was my first time buying a house and there was a lot of obstacles with me having to go TDY and do a mail away closing. I didn’t expect everything to go perfectly but I tried to get as much done or planned out to make things easier for when I was away but I kept getting told there was nothing more to do at this time and I’m way ahead and on top of where I should be. I had let the whole team know I was going to be away and I wouldn’t have my phone really during the day. Several times at the end of the day I would see missed calls and voicemails saying that I needed to get this thing done before THAT day. This really frustrated me because nobody had let me know prior what needed to be done. I also talked with the attorneys office and talked over the phone about the contract the day before closing and I told them I would get it notarized the next day and then mailed and they said okay. Then on that day they changed things up saying I needed to scan and email it before I mail it. I don’t have a scanner out here so that made things way more stressful. They also said they needed to receive it in the mail THAT day even though we talked over the contract the previous day. Overall I feel like there was very little effort into anyone actually trying to help me and communicate anything with me. I would recommend being more proactive and informative especially with a new homebuyer.

Thank you to everyone on our team, you guys made this process so easy!

This company is an absolute nightmare. Disorganized blames everything on the seller, agent, or appraiser. Takes 2 days to return phone calls. Your rate will change on a daily basis even with a locked rate due to there special lock rate sheet. If they give you a closing date expect it to be 2 weeks after that. The list of horror goes on and on.
Response from Veterans United
Hi Chris, One of our Client Advocate team members has begun to research your comments, and will be working hard to learn as much as possible about what caused your closing delays. Our goal at Veterans United is to help create the best situation for yourself and your family. We realize that interest rates can vary from day to day and is one of the most important factors in your home buying decision. While we cannot change the experience you had we are committed to accountability, exploring ways to improve, and seeking opportunities to continue serving you. Discussing the details around your final closing figures is part of our commitment to deliver outstanding service. Veterans United does not directly control the majority of these costs like taxes and insurance, and it is expected that earlier cost estimates will differ from final closing numbers. It is our goal to be there for you every step of the way to explain and demonstrate all changes. We appreciate your calling attention to this aspect and will always be available if you wish to discuss in greater detail. Our Client Advocate team is here for you to help ensure an outstanding customer service experience, and we invite you to connect with us further.

I will add more: the Veterans United experience was great for us. Again, with Nick and his team carefully attending to every turn and bump in the road, even in times of near catastrophe, Nick helped us navigate the essential aspects of our experience.Nick Intrieri has been with us since we embarked on our mission to find a home and secure a mortgage. Nick and his team helped us navigate and get everything set up without stress. Nick was always available, even when we experienced things in life that were not necessarily a part of the mortgage process at Veteran's United. Nick is a part of our extended family (along with the rest of the team that works and makes magic happen), and we are forever grateful and appreciative. When Nick says he has your six, he truly means it.Thank you, Nick!Thank you, Veterans United, and everyone who had a hand in this!-Sev N Xavia - Las Vegas, Nevada
