Overall we thought this would be a great experience sadly working with veterans united has proved similar to working with the VA. Lots of hurdles to jump over and miscommunication made this process much more frustrating and unpleasant than it should have been. If we could do it over I would have picked a local bank or credit union to work with. Dealing with a company this big we figured it'd be a much smoother process but I have to say I'd check into local options before bringing your business here. They got everything done for us thankfully but it wasn't easy working with people on the other side of the US. As a first time home buyer I'd explore other options before settling for veterans united just to be sure you're making the right choice.

I would absolutely recommend Veterans United as a whole, specifically Travis Ward's team. Buying a home as a first time buyer was definitely overwhelming at first but once the team set itself in motion, we almost never had to think about any of it alone. Every questions was answered immediately and we were never stressed about missing anything. Even after the home was purchased and everything was signed they still are helping us with our next steps! If you are looking to buy a home, whether it is your first or second, I would recommend VU 100%. There is absolutely a reason they show up as the #1 recommended home loan company for veterans.
